An intermittent vibrate alert, a standard vibrate alert, and an escalating alert are also selections that can be made either in the programming software or by the user from the front panel buttons. Selectable audio alerts include 8 pleasing alerts, 7 urgent alerts, and a standard alert. The Alpha Legend Dual has 6 alerting modes – a standard alert, vibrating alert, vibrating & alerting, vibrate then alert, a chirp (beep) alert, and a silent alert (no alert). When memory becomes full, older messages are replaced by newer messages, but up to 10 messages can be locked in memory and not replaced if so desired. The pager can store up to 19 personal messages, each message containing up to 2025 characters. Zoom capability makes the characters larger and easier to read, displaying 2 lines of text at 10 characters per line or 40 characters per screen. Four lines of text can be displayed at 20 characters per line or 80 characters per screen.
